Lick Them While You Can

Yes, I wake up to that view sometimes, but not for long.

Last week we noticed Splinter had blood in his pee. He had the same problem about 5 months ago. His prostate has been getting infected for whatever reason. The vet mentioned getting Splinter neutered last time we visited. This time she told us to get him neutered.

I don’t know why, but I was genuinely bummed out for the little guy. The vet could see it in my face. How stupid is that! She actually said, ”It’s OK daddy, he’ll be alright”.

By the way, that is not a staged picture. We have a ceiling fan over the bed and he likes the breeze on his family jewels! He’s a smart dog.

My Great Dane likes lying like this in bed. We call it his "Greek god" pose.

I think it is nice that you protected his identity by covering his face. Okay let's face it I am still in shock and just don't know what to say, that won't get me in trouble.

Nora-He does that himself. He gets no help from me.

This picture says it all:
"Just go ahead and get it over with. Please don't make me have to watch."

Lil' Mojo was sore for weeks. Weeks! Just a little snip and he was totally incapacitated. Lulu, on the other hand, was actually cut into, had her guts pulled out, moved around, and then surgically removed. Then she got stitches. She was good as new in about a week. Did she get painkillers? Nooooo.....
Mojo got painkillers and despite that, walked around like he had a corncob up his hooey for two weeks.
Wussy.

I felt bad when we neutered my little dog too.... certainly hasn't stopped him from humping everyone's leg though.
